Hearing Loss Affects People of All Ages
Tinnitus affects about 1 in 5 people. What’s more, hearing loss is the third most common condition affecting older and elderly adults. Approximately 1 in 3 people between the ages of 65 and 74 experiences hearing loss, and nearly half of adults older than 75.
But younger adults experience hearing loss too. Many of our patients are in their 20s, 30s and 40s. Hearing loss can present itself in many ways including ringing in the ears, tinnitus, and usually requires treatment.
